SPRING TRIP -- COLORADO SPRINGS
FISD has officially approved our trip to Colorado Springs!  (Signup form click here!)

Date:  May 20-23, 2011

Overview:
May 20    Depart LHS  6am       Arrive 7pm
May 21   Garden of the Gods/Tour Air Force Academy on “Armed Services Day”/Perform in Denver, Colorado/Seven Falls Park
May 22  Unity Circle/Royal Gorge/White Water Rafting
May 23 Depart C.S. 6:00am   Arrive LHS 7pm
 
These are the main events we are planning. The itinerary will be added to, modified and detailed during the next few months. 

In a Unity Circle, all students hold hands in a circle and students voluntarily step into the circle to express the things they are grateful for.  No accommodations will be made for church attendance.   Any student(s) who wishes to organize a religious meeting at the hotel is welcome to do so.  (I would like for parents to know that I am a religious person.  I am also an employee of an institution that has guidelines both State and Federal that we must follow to protect and defend the rights of all students.)

Booster fund raising    $ 50
Cost per student        $275

Hotel:   Colorado Springs Marriot (in view of Pike’s Peak)
Transportation: 57 passengers Charter Bus
Meals: Included
Recreation and performance Fees: Included
Chaperones: 2 teachers, 4+ parents
 
If you are interested in serving as a chaperone please e-mail Mr. Hohmann.  We need someone to drive their car.
 
Payments:  Nov. 1 $ 75
                Jan. 1 $ 100
                Feb.1 $100
If you can pay for the entire trip in November, please do so.   If you choose to make payments please pay by the due date.  We do not have time nor do we wish to contact students or parents about payments.
 
Refunds:  If a student has a legitimate reason for canceling, their money will be refunded except for $100, which will be committed for the charter bus and any other non-refundable deposits.  We consider legitimate reasons:  serious illness, death in the family, in-eligibility based on 5th six weeks reporting period.
Deadline for signed participation agreement and $75 deposit--November 30.  No deposits accepted after this date.
